And if PS4 is reserving space, why show it as available space. It's obvious it's not since you can't use it. I can't even download Resogun and that game isn't even big.

So OP is the problem, right? I mean, 20 damn GB for a MB update? That sounds wrong. Again I already have 44GB free. The download is just MB. It's not all that too. Fortnite asked me to free 10GB a few days ago with the same free space already on my PS4. It's kind of hard to say I'm reading the free space wrong when the PS4 tells me that.
I don't think this is a problem with my PS4 as this happens with my other 10 PS4s too yeah that many, game lounge business. If it ain't free, don't call it free. Don't list it as available. Communicate what actually needs to be, not some cryptic mismatch of numbers. The software can absolutely do the conversions and be aware of the reserved space and display a user-friendly message.

What OSs -or almost any other piece of software- do is to backup files that are going to be changed. I would free up the space the PS4 was telling me, but it wouldn't be enough, even after deleting 2x the needed space.
