Nbz verifying downloaded files taking long time

What does Verify do anyways? Can somebody please help me with this.. Thanks you very much. We use the same program that most of the Usenet world uses. The speed depends on the power of you hardware and the amount of repair that needs to be done.

On what kind of hardware are you running SABnzbd? Honestly, I've used quickpar countless times as I've always done this manually and my hardware has never been an issue.

It takes anywhere from a minutes to repair a movie for me. On my less capable system it runs fine. Another option is to run the included par2 tool from a command line.

See what it does without SABnzbd. Thank you. Doesn't make sense. Just re-installed on top of 7. There is an issue with 7. I just ran cmd line for par2 and verifying and repair was done within a few minutes.

I tested a small movie "bachelorette. View Profile View Posts. Originally posted by Cathulhu :. Last edited by I Want My Pizza!

Games download fast, fast, fast Then the installation of the content, even NEW content- not updates- takes far longer than the download did. Zero network activity. This is a brand new i7. I think Steam has plenty of resources to work with on my PC- but something is making installations take a long, long time and is burning CPU cycles.

Task Manager says it is Steam. It would be great if this was fixed. How many software engineers does it take to screw in a lightbulb? ZERO that is a hardware issue. Doesn't matter why Steam does what it does, its inefficient. This isn't and we are using AOL. To my surprise, I noticed a lot more variation at Newshosting. Older nzbs that downloaded on the first attempt to download failed the second time through and some nzbs that had already succeeded the first time now failed the second time.

For example, I just downloaded a large nzb no other in the queue. I can see there's a par2 process running. That means that quick check failed and it is running par to verify and repair right? This is taking a long time because of the size.
